"Sabzi Mandi" Tshirt

Our Sabzi Mandi T-shirt is inspired by the recent gentrification of Goregaon West, where a beloved vegetable market was taken down to make way for “development”.
Our t-shirts feature designs that incorporate symbolic elements of the vegetable market, paying tribute to the community that was affected by its removal.

While often seen as a sign of progress and urban renewal, it can also have negative consequences for long-time residents and marginalized communities. Gentrification can displace residents and small businesses, drive up housing costs, and erase the cultural history and character of a neighborhood.

We hope that our t-shirt will spark meaningful conversations and raise awareness about the impact of gentrification on communities.
